31 for 21: DSAT Buddy Walk 2012

The DSAT buddy walk was today. It was the 10th annual walk, so it was a milestone walk. We had a great time with everyone. Erin & Alana did a fantastic job of getting it all together. It went so smooth and was great. I'll let the pictures tell most of the story. Enjoy!

31 for 21: Buddy Walk Prep

This week has been a full, busy week between buddy walk, grandparents and some political things.

This morning, I remembered that we had to make O's flag for the walk, since we had lost the flag we have used for the last several years. It's kind of last minute, since the walk is tomorrow!

We changed his team name anyways from O's Ranch Hands to O's Freedom Fighters. We painted it up and got it all together this morning.

31 for 21: DSAT's Buddy Walk Kick-Off Party at Bounce-U

Tuesday was the kick-off party for the Down Syndrome Association of Tulsa Buddy Walk. They hold it at Bounce-U every year. This makes it so to that people can pick up their registrations - shirts, bags, buttons, etc - before the walk. And it also is a fun time for the family to play on the inflatables.

O looks forward to it every year. This year all 10 of O's siblings came and he was so thrilled. I think O went up and down the huge slide a hundred times :)!

The Buddy Walk is Sunday, the 21st!

31 for 21: 10th Annual DSAT Buddy Walk is coming up!

The Down Syndrome Association of Tulsa is celebrating their 10th Anniversary of the Buddy Walk this year. Our walk just happens to be on October 21st this year (ya know, Trisomy 21!).

A few fun facts about the DSAT Buddy walk:

-Last year our walk was the 6th largest in the nation.
-We have the largest walk across the whole nation that is entirely staffed by volunteers

I think those are some pretty cool facts! Way to go DSAT!

If you're in Oklahoma, come on out to the walk. Visit the website at this link: www.dsat.org/buddywalkhome.html
