I would have to read the studies again to check on that, as sometimes the period of time is given as to how long it is in the body in the studies. I have not been up to speed on a lot of the research in the last couple years, due to life changing (married and now have a baby of my own and another on the way). I know Andi Durkin over at DS Day Today keeps up with the research more than I have lately and she would probably be better able to answer that question.

As far as a folate supplement, Source Naturals is a good brand. Swanson Vitamins has also been one of my top choices.

@Unknown: I believe most parents have found EGCG to be very bitter. Is there any way you could give it to your daughter via a capsule she could swallow? I know this is how we give it to my brother. Otherwise, I would suggest using something like Apple Butter or some kind of good fruit spread or jelly, as a lot of times that helps mask the flavors of the vitamins. If she does not know how to swallow pills, there is a cup that teaches people how to swallow pills. It works super easy from our experience - my brother was just over a year old or so and he learned it very easily! Oral-flo pill swallowing cup, I believe it was called.

Hope this helps!Qadoshyahhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15824192344524447095noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3211143012204688541.post-21964331883859401972016-09-12T10:40:27.578-07:002016-09-12T10:40:27.578-07:00Thanks a lot for the information. That is what we do. And I just realized that I did not mention that in this post. Giving it twice a day will ensure that it stays in the child's system at all times. We give it in the morning and at night. Some have had problems giving it at night, as it made their child stay awake at night. But, some have not had any problems.
